Food Safety and Drug Administration (FSDA), Agra supported by Ek Pahel organised 2.5 km Prabhat Feri (Gandhi walk) on January 12th, 2019. Over 2000 students, youngsters and elders, participated in the rally that started from Lauh Yatra chanting slogans of 'Eat Right India', 'Aaj Se Thoda Kam' and ended at Agra College ground. The rally concluded with Food Festival- Eat Right Mela. In the mela 25 stalls related to healthy diet, balanced diet, pregnancy diet, organic food were organised. Dept. of Food and Nutrition, Institute of Home Science actively participated in this program. They displayed various food exchanges on their counter. A Book titled NUTRITION, authored by Dr. Ankita Gupta , Associate Prof., Institute of Home Science was released. Shri Jagan Prasad Garg MLA, Shri Naveen Jain Mayor Nagar Nigam Agra, Shri Vijay Pal Singh, Deputy Director FSSAI, Shri Ajay kumar Jaiswal Asst. Commisioner (Food) Agra Mandal, Agra, Dr. Shweta Saini Designated Officer, and other dignitaries graced the occasion. Under GOI #Anaemia Mukt Bharat and #Kuposhan Mukt Abhiyan program were included in the program. Fortified food and fruits were distributed among pregnant and lactating mothers at Lady Lyall Hospital. Next day closing ceremony of the program was organised in which cyclists carrying message of Eat Right India from Pondicherry to Delhi were felicitated, yoga session by trained professionals was organised and Ek Pahel students gave scintillating cultural program. Ek Pahel left no stone unturned to spread the message of Eat Right with FSDA.
